Funding -
We Get It
At Good Projects Australia, we’ve helped charities, non-profits, social enterprises, art centres, Aboriginal corporations, and others secure tens of millions of dollars.
We’re not just office-based grant writers—we’ve been in the trenches ourselves. As former founders, CEOs, and non-profit managers, we understand what it takes to secure funding and deliver projects in real-world conditions. We’ve also worked as government grant assessors, giving us insight into what makes an application successful. Our approach is proactive, hands-on, and tailored to each organisation’s strengths.
We also recognise that many groups face barriers in the funding space, from limited resources to cultural considerations and language differences. We work closely with organisations to ensure their vision is communicated clearly and effectively, in a way that funders understand and value.

How We Work
Step 1: A Free Consultation
We start with a conversation to understand your organisation, funding needs, and goals. This may include a review of past applications, funding history, and potential opportunities.
Step 2: Research and Strategy
If you’re unsure which grants to apply for, we conduct research to identify the most suitable funding opportunities. If you already have a grant in mind, we assess eligibility and key requirements.
Step 3: Grant Writing and Documentation
We develop a high-quality, tailored application, ensuring all necessary documents—including project plans, budgets, letters of support and more—are in place.
Step 4: Review and Finalisation
Before submission, we conduct a full review to ensure compliance with funder expectations and refine the application for clarity and impact.
Step 5: Submission and Ongoing Support
Once the grant is submitted, we can assist with reporting, acquittals, and preparing for future funding rounds.
Payment and Fee Structure
We understand that different organisations have different financial capacities and funding models. That’s why we offer flexible payment structures to ensure our services are accessible while maintaining a high standard of quality and collaboration.
#1 Upfront Payment
Many clients opt for a straightforward hourly or flat fee model, providing certainty around costs from the outset. This can be tailored to suit the complexity and scope of the grant application.
#2 Partnership Model
For some projects, we offer a smaller upfront fee with the understanding that Good Projects Australia will be built into aspects of the grant delivery if the application is successful. This ensures an ongoing collaboration, allowing us to provide a broader range of support beyond just the grant application process.
#3 No-Win, No-Fee
In select cases, we offer a no-win, no-fee arrangement. This is typically reserved for organisations with which we have an established relationship and a strong level of trust. We invest our time where we see clear potential for impact and where long-term collaboration is possible.
If you’d like to discuss which model best suits your organisation, get in touch with us to explore your options.
